On December 26, 2025, a group of investors from the People’s Republic of China, led by Ms. Suji and Ms. Zhong Hebei, along with representatives of the rice processing and packaging company “Feida Jituan” (PRC), paid a visit to the Administration of the Free Economic Zone “Sughd”.

The guests were received by the Head of the Administration of the FEZ “Sughd”, Muhammad-zoda Muhammad Sulton, at the Administration’s conference hall. He briefed the investors on the activities of the zone and the existing incentives, emphasizing that the Administration of the FEZ “Sughd” is ready to provide comprehensive support for the development of mutually beneficial cooperation with entrepreneurs and investors from the People’s Republic of China.

Subsequently, the leading specialist of the Administration’s Department of International Relations and Investment Attraction, Rahimova Umedakhon, delivered a detailed presentation to the guests on the activities, incentives, and advantages of the FEZ “Sughd”.

On December 18, 2025, personnel changes were held in the positions of First Deputy Head, Deputy Head, and Head of the Administrative Office at the Administration of the Free Economic Zone (FEZ) “Sughd”.

The opening speech was delivered by the Head of the Administration of the FEZ “Sughd”, Muhammadzo da Muhammad Sulton, who warmly welcomed the representative of the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan — Head of the Department for Administration of Free Economic Zones, Khuseynov Jovid Mahmudovich — to the new Administration building.

Thereafter, the ministry representative introduced the staff of the Administration to the Order of the Minister of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan on the appointment of Hakimov Nasimjon Abduganievich as First Deputy Head of the Administration of the FEZ “Sughd”, as well as the appointment of Ne’matzoda Dilovarsho Mahmadsho as Deputy Head of the Administration of the FEZ “Sughd”, wishing them success in their future work and activities.

At the same time, based on the Order of the Head of the Administration of the FEZ “Sughd”, Muhammadzo da Muhammad Sulton, the appointment of Nosirov Ma’rufjon Rustamjonovich as Head of the Administrative Office of the Administration of the FEZ “Sughd” was announced.

On December 11, 2025, the award ceremony for the winners of the national competition “Best Exporter of Tajikistan” was held at the Hyatt Regency Hotel in Dushanbe.

The event was attended by the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan, Sulaimon Ziyozoda; the Director of the Export Agency under the Government of the Republic of Tajikistan, Bahriddin Sirojiddin; heads of domestic and foreign companies and enterprises; representatives of organizations and institutions; as well as entrepreneurs.

It was a matter of pride and honor for the staff of the FEZ “Sughd” Administration and the entities of the zone that the Free Economic Zone “Sughd” was declared the winner of the “Best Exporter of Tajikistan” competition in the nomination “Best Exporter of a Free Economic Zone” and was awarded a prize and a diploma. On December 8, 2025, investors from the Islamic Republic of Iran — Mr. Nasir Shohkarami, Consultant of a dried fruit processing enterprise in the city of Khorramabad, and Dr. Vahid Mostavi, Representative of a pharmaceutical company in the city of Tehran — paid a visit to the Administration of the Free Economic Zone “Sughd”.

The Head of the FEZ “Sughd” Administration, Muhammadzo da Muhammad Sulton, warmly welcomed the guests at the Administration’s conference hall and, in his opening remarks, highlighted the development of bilateral relations between the two friendly and linguistically related countries. He emphasized that these relations are being strengthened under the leadership of the Heads of State — the Founder of Peace and National Unity, Leader of the Nation, President of the Republic of Tajikistan, H.E. On December 6, 2025, an investor from the People’s Republic of China, Ms. Chun Xia Huang, Head of Chunhui Education Group of Sichuan Province, PRC, along with Mr. Dmitry Srybny, Representative of LLC “Chunhui International” for the CIS countries, paid a visit to the Administration of the Free Economic Zone “Sughd”.

The Deputy Head of the FEZ “Sughd” Administration, Nasimjon Abduganievich Hakimov, warmly welcomed the guests at the entrance of the Administration building and provided detailed information on the activities, advantages, and incentives of the zone, also expressing readiness to establish cooperation with investors from the People’s Republic of China.

On December 4, 2025, based on the letter of the Executive Authority of State Power of Sughd Region dated August 20, 2025, No. 1890-7/23, at the initiative of the second phase of the Green Economy Financing Facility in the Republic of Tajikistan (GEEF-II), financed by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development and implemented in cooperation with the Investment and Credit Bank of the Republic of Tajikistan (ICB), a seminar aimed at increasing awareness of the Free Economic Zone “Sughd” entities on green technologies was held in the conference hall of the new building of the FEZ “Sughd” Administration.

At the opening of the event, the Head of the FEZ “Sughd” Administration, Muhammadzo da Muhammad Sulton, welcomed the representatives of the Program and the management of the FEZ “Sughd” entities to the new administrative building. He emphasized that the organization of this seminar was a necessary and timely initiative and instructed the management of the FEZ “Sughd” entities to establish cooperation with the Program. It was also noted that one of the FEZ “Sughd” entities, LLC KF “Fortuna-Ko”, has installed solar panels at its production facility, covering nearly 60% of its electricity consumption.

During the event, GEEF-II program experts Parvin Jabbarov and Sadriddin Juraev delivered presentations on the Program as well as on green technologies and products that contribute to saving energy, water, and resources, including information on available grant support.

Useful information and opportunities regarding the use of renewable energy sources, particularly the wide application of solar panels to supply enterprises operating within the FEZ “Sughd”, were also presented.

In addition, Jovid Khoshmatov, Director of LLC “Oftob Energy”, presented information on the company’s services, terms and conditions, and opportunities for the import, installation, and further use of solar panels, which are considered environmentally friendly and energy-efficient sources of power. Representatives of the Investment and Credit Bank of the Republic of Tajikistan provided information on the bank’s loan products and opportunities to obtain grant support under the GEEF-II Program.

Following the question-and-answer session, the parties concluded that, based on technical studies and analyses, they would cooperate with the Investment and Credit Bank of Tajikistan and service companies to gradually transition to a green energy system.

From 10 to 15 November 2025, a delegation of the Republic of Tajikistan, consisting of representatives of ministries and agencies, as well as the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan and the heads of the Free Economic Zones of the Republic of Tajikistan, visited the Republic of Azerbaijan. The purpose of the visit was to study the advanced experience of Free Economic Zones and digitalization solutions.

The Head of the Administration of FEZ “Sugd”, Muhammadzoda Muhammad Sulton, visited the Republic of Azerbaijan with the aim of expanding economic cooperation, attracting more foreign investments, and finding new business partners. During the meetings and negotiations, he highlighted the advantages, incentives, and favorable investment climate of FEZ “Sugd”.

As part of the trip, the Head of the Administration of FEZ “Sugd”, Muhammadzoda Muhammad Sulton, also visited the “Alat” Free Economic Zone of the Republic of Azerbaijan. The purpose of this visit was to familiarize himself with the activities of production enterprises and study advanced innovative practices. During the visit, the parties exchanged views on economic cooperation, implementation of joint industrial projects, and attracting additional investments. On November 11, 2025, the International Investment Forum “Khatlon Invest 2025” was held in the city of Bokhtar, Khatlon Region.
The forum was opened with a welcoming speech by the Chairman of Khatlon Region, Davlatali Said. Afterwards, representatives of ministries and agencies of the Republic of Tajikistan, the Government of Khatlon Region, and embassies accredited in Tajikistan participated, including:
